    Despite their imposing appearance, modern buildings are usually built with little to no previously defined façade access and maintenance plan. The external building fabric decays, weathers and fails, cleaning, repairing, repainting or maintaining the façade is often ill-considered, thus requiring a range of unique access solutions and methods of cleaning and repairs to help restore the building façade. Cleverly engineered building façades present their own set of problems in that they may be inaccessible, or the material’s weathering and decay cycles may not be fully understood. This leaves an expensive structure with little scope to be effectively or proactively inspected, cleaned or maintained in the future.     We understand that commercial property requires careful and precise planning and access strategy development so methods of façade cleaning and programmes are adjusted to accommodate building use and even delivered through the night where required. Due to the varying characteristics of commercial buildings, we design and carry out façade refurbishment and repair or external painting while using various building access methods such as temporary cradles, façade hoist, scaffolding and abseiling methods, cleaning, repairing, stabilising or painting building façades.
